Leading theme: "The Relation between Phonology and Phonetics"

A new international biennial conference organized by two Polish universities:
Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Lublin, (UMCS)
John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, (KUL)
* A forum for sharing theoretical, empirical and pedagogical findings on
all aspects of phonetics and phonology and their interaction. Welcome are
proposals for papers and sessions concerning the main theme as well as
other phonetic/phonological issues.
* The following scholars have kindly agreed to deliver plenary talks on
the phonology-phonetics relations in different approaches:
Prof. John Coleman (Oxford University) - Laboratory Phonology
Prof. Haike Jacobs (Radboud University, Nijmegen) - Optimality Theory
Prof. Tobias Scheer (University of Nice) - Government Phonology
Prof. Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kolaczyk (A.Mickiewicz University, PoznaĆ)

CALL FOR PAPERS
Important deadlines:
Abstract submission: February 28, 2013.
Abstracts (250-400 words) of 20 minute papers and thematic session
proposals should be emailed to apap2013@umcs.eu
Notification of acceptance: March 31, 2013
Registration and payment of conference fee: April 30, 2013
Conference fee (350 PLN for Poles/100 Euros for foreigners) covers
conference materials, one conference dinner, 3 lunches, refreshments and a
sightseeing tour. Additionally, special low-budget hotel rates will be
arranged (25-40 euros per night incl. breakfast) for the participants.
